This book gathers the weekly dispatches (which were believed lost until now) prepared in the year 1653 by Abraham de Wicquefort, a Dutch diplomat residing in Paris. It also includes his account of France in September 1654, commissioned by the Elector of Brandenburg, which is revealing of his working methods.
