Based on the premise there is a discursive and cultural continuum between literature and the press, this study focuses on a Greek author, Grigorios Xenopoulos, and a Greek body of texts. It explores the evolutions of literary life, authorial figures and the role of the writer spurred by the advent of modern journalism.
