This publication focuses on the 17th century writer Léonard de Marandé, often considered as an uneducated and ridiculous writer by the critics of the Port-Royal. The author of this study analyses de Marandé’s writings by reconstructing the historical context to better understand the reason of the often contradictory views on de Marandé.
