This volume presents the full text of a hitherto unpublished play by Jean Vauthier, L’Impromptu d’Arras, and of the medieval play on which it was based. Both versions are then compared to highlight Vauthier’s thematic and dramatic concerns. Also included is an analysis of a 2003 production of the medieval play.
