This study highlights the pervasive presence of dancing (at the elemental level of poetry, of movement, of motion) in the works of poets (Henri Michaux, Paul Celan, André du Bouchet and Bernard Noël) who paradoxically never resort to the theme of the female dancer, which was once ubiquitous in poetry.
