Bocacce’s complex, antinomic works were fueled by the contradictions of his times – an era marked by the crisis of transcendence and universalism, torn between the last throes of the Middle Ages and pre-Renaissance humanism. These studies derive from a series of conferences held exactly seven centuries after his birth.
