In 1825, the triumph of the new school was not yet complete, and yet it is the year of the Sacre to which Lamartine and Victor Hugo were invited; their presence at the ceremony and their lyricism might be considered as an enthronement on the romantic poets. Ampère wrote on this study in the Globe, in 1825, and a few months later Després analysed the book in one of the most considerable articles published by the Globe.
